As our pathetic Government waits to get it's budget back, signed off by Frau Merkel, The EU & The German Parliament etc., to allow them release it to Irish politicians & announce it to the Irish public, what else has been going on in Furher Merkels ever increasing patch.

We have seen the new Spanish Leader, Mariano Rajoy immediately called to head office to collect his instructions from Frau Merkel.
Italy have had an unelected Tecnocrat appointed as their new leader & he has appointed a whole cabinet of unelecetd ministers, without any reference to the Italian people, in fact Van Rompuy rocked into town & said "Now is not the time for elections it's the time for action."
Greece had it's elected leader removed when he dared mention the word Referendum & he was replaced by a former ECB banker again unelected.

As we all know Belgium has no Government to speak of & has been under the complete control of the EU / Germany for many years.

So who's next to have their Government removed, to have their democracy, sovereignty & people trampled on?

All to preserve a dead currency & the dreams & the greed of a few Politicians, Unelected Power Hungry Technocrats & Bankers.

The Irish Government would have been removed too only they bent over immediately and agreed to implement all and every measure dictated to them by the troika, just watch what happens if this government looks like its losing control & support from the public. there is no way the EU Technocrats will permit an election in this country if it is likely Euro Sceptics or Sinn Fein have a chance of seizing power, we too will have an unelected EU technocrat appointed who will appoint a government without an election.

I was talking to some of the older people at work the other day about childhood, then & now. It was scary the amount of stuff we all remembered that no longer exists & then one of those joke emails arrived in my inbox on the very same topic, see how you get on.

If you grew up in a generation before there was fast food, you may remember some of these:

The problem for Greece is that these pictures are being streamed across the world & for a country that depends so heavily on tourism this type of publicity can be devastating, so what do they do, allow these protests continue & get out of hand or crackdown on them and risk the publicity of protesters being badly injured or even killed.

On the plus side though, old Choppers and the unelected EU Fuckocrats must be shitting themselves re the possibility of default & the contagion spreading to Ireland & Portugal, leading to the end of the Euro project & possibly with any luck the end of the EU.

Joke for the Day - A DUCK WALKS INTO A BAR!!!

The barman looks at him and says,

The same thing happens for two weeks.
Then one day the circus comes to town.
The ringmaster comes into the pub for a pint and the barman says to him

"You're with the circus, aren't you? Well, I know this duck that could be just brilliant in your circus. He talks, drinks beer, eats sandwiches, reads the newspaper and everything!"
"Sounds marvellous,"says the ringmaster, handing over his business card.
"Get him to give me a call."

So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the barman says,

"Hey Mr. Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good money."

Immediately the UN at the behest of France & Britain become worried about the civilians that Gadaffi has been murdering & persecuting for years & they are In like Flynn with the old Air Strikes.

It has also been widely reported that Gadaffi said earlier this month, that Germany was the only Western power that had any chance of doing business with Libyan oil in the future. Guess which Western power opposed the Air Strikes & refused to have any part in them?

What's going on in Libya is not a peaceful protest, it is an armed uprising / civil war & while I have no time for Gadaffi I don't really have much care or interest in the other side here either, as the past has taught us, all that will happen is one Dictator will be replaced by another one, often a lot worse than the one he replaced.

If The UN & by that I mean Britain, France & America cared even a little bit about innocent civilians being shot and killed they would be focusing on Yemen & Bahrain where innocent unarmed protestors are being attacked & killed, right at this very moment, but as there is no oil, there is no interest.

The UN stood by and watched as Bahrain's rulers murdered unarmed protestors & then watched Saudi troops roll into town to help suppress the peaceful protests with even more force, but that's ok because the Saudi's have never funded terrorism or oppressed anyone & have always viewed as paramount the rights of their own citizens, just ask any of their modern leaning women or homosexuals.

SOUNDINGS - Poems we did for our Leaving Cert.

I recently acquired & am reading a copy of Soundings, it will either terrorise me or send me on a nostalgic trip back to my school days, English for the Leaving Cert 1988.

For those who have never heard of Soundings, it was the Leaving Certificate Poetry book from 1969 to approx 1995, if you still don't remember it you are 1 of 3 things;

1. Too Young to have had it.
2. Too old to have had it.
3. You are not Irish or were not educated in the Republic of Ireland.

Turns out after 23 years, all Nostalgia is Rose Tinted & I am really enjoying going through it.

An Obituary printed in the London Times

Interesting and sadly rather true.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930's 1940's, 50's, 60's, 70’s, 80’s

First, we survived being born to mothers who drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos .

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, raw egg products, loads of bacon and processed meat, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer..

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle...

Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds , KFC, Burger King or Subway.

Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and didn't open on the weekends, somehow we didn't starve to death!

We often shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Toffees, Gobstoppers, Bubble Gum and some bangers to blow up frogs with.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in them, but we weren't overweight because.....

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of old prams and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. We built tree houses and cubbies and played in river beds with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo Wii , X-boxes, no video games at all, no 999 channels on SKY , no video/dvd films, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no Lawsuits from these accidents.

Only girls had pierced ears!

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

You could only buy Easter Eggs and Hot Cross Buns at Easter time...

We were given air guns and catapults for our 10th birthdays,

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

FOOTBALL and CRICKET had tryouts & not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! Getting into the team was based on MERIT

Our teachers used to hit us with straps and sand shoes and bully's always ruled the playground at school.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

Our parents didn't invent stupid names for their kids like 'Kiora' and 'Blade' and 'Ridge' and 'Vanilla'

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, & we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

Bob could barely see the road in front of the car. Suddenly, the car skids out of control! Bob attempts to control the car, but to no avail! The car swerves and smashes into a tree.

Moments later, Bob shakes his head to clear the fog. Dazed, he looks over at the passenger seat and sees his wife unconscious, with her head bleeding! Despite the rain and unfamiliar countryside, Bob knows he has to get her medical assistance.

Bob carefully picks his wife up and begins trudging down the road. After a short while, he sees a light. He heads towards the light, which is coming from a large, old house. He approaches the door and knocks.

A minute passes. A small, hunched man opens the door. Bob immediately blurts, "Hello, my name is Bob Hill, and this is my wife Betty. We've been in a terrible accident, and my wife has been seriously hurt. Can I please use your phone?"

"I'm sorry," replied the hunchback, "but we don't have a phone. My master is a doctor; come in, and I will get him!"

Bob brings his wife in.

An older man comes down the stairs. "I'm afraid my assistant may have misled you. I am not a medical doctor; I am a scientist.. However, it is many miles to the nearest clinic, and I have had a basic medical training. I will see what I can do. Igor, bring them down to the laboratory."

With that, Igor picks up Betty and carries her downstairs, with Bob following closely.. Igor places Betty on a table in the lab. Bob collapses from exhaustion and his own injuries, so Igor places Bob on an adjoining table.

After a brief examination, Igor's master looks worried. "Things are serious, Igor. Prepare a transfusion." Igor and his master work feverishly, but to no avail. Bob and Betty Hill are no more.

The Hills' deaths upset Igor's master greatly. Wearily, he climbs the steps to his conservatory, which houses his grand piano. For it is here that he has always found solace. He begins to play, and a stirring, almost haunting melody fills the house.

Meanwhile, Igor is still in the lab tidying up. His eyes catch movement, and he notices the fingers on Betty's hand twitch, keeping time to the haunting piano music. Stunned, he watches as Bob's arm begins to rise, marking the beat! He is further amazed as Betty and Bob both sit up straight!

Unable to contain himself, he dashes up the stairs to the conservatory.

I Had A Dream - Bertie R.I.P

"Of course I've loved my neighbours, from the bankers right on down, I even loved the builders too, that developed every town. I've read my bible & sung my praises, now Heaven I wish to see, so Peter step aside there, the Lord will welcome me."

Turning out the Lights

There was once a Tunnel, not a very long tunnel, but one that was easy to travel, it was very bright with lots of lights & everyone liked it. However overtime the tunnel became longer, darker, more difficult to travel, the lights were fewer & people grew afraid of the tunnel. Soon enough there was only one light left and it was right at the end of the tunnel, it was very dim and flickered a lot.

Then one day the light went out, people didn't know what to do, they looked around for help & leadership but none could be found. They rang all the emergency numbers they could find but to no avail, no-one knew what to do, until they stumbled upon a number for the Dept of the Environment. They rang the number and spoke to the Green Minister in charge, he informed them it was his and the Governments policy that the light would not be replaced. The people complained that there had always been a light there but with no success.

The Green Minister told them that after 3 years of a Fianna Fail & Green government "THERE WAS NO LONGER A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL."

I recently completed an IQ test, see attached link opposite, in my life so far I have completed 3 of these tests two official and this one, My IQ is one of 135, 142 or 144.

I read & have been told that an IQ of 145 & over is in the genius bracket, Einstein for example had an IQ of 160+.

So at 144 I'm not a genius, I'm just gifted, still it's nice to be gifted, better than severely challenged which is what I suspect our tanaiste Coughlan would read.

The Public Service got a right royal fucking, the 5% cut on salaries under € 30k is very harsh, exactly the same as the cut imposed in our company & I thought it very harsh there too, I thought my cut of 7.5% even fucking harsher though.

Wont be too many people feeling sorry for our economy / retail sector after this budget, expect to see even bigger tailbacks into Newry & beyond. The carbon tax on coal and peat products will encourage people to travel over the border also..

I went to bed and listened, at 8am ( really 6) G's alarm went off, this woke F who immediately flew into a panic, as he was due in work at 8.30, I could hear him begging G to drive him to work, we lived in Tottenham at the time and F worked in Mill Hill East so it was a bit of a hike. It became really funny (and I really should have stepped in) when G charged him £20 to drive him & F actually agreed and paid. He got to work on time all right, a full 90 mins early in fact.

How we laughed at that one, well me and G did anyway, the year was 1989 and £ 20 was a lot of money then, it's becoming a lot of money now too.

I remember this incident as it happened on the night / morning the Berlin wall came down & thought of it today while reading about the student demonstration that led to fall of communism in Czechoslovakia, 20 years ago today. Funny the shit you remember..

Of course Bertie claims he did nothing wrong here, he states that under our CONSTITUTION and under the LAW OF THE STATE Mr. Turner was entitled to an Irish passport because his mother was an Irish citizen. the fact that Mr Turner made a fianancial donation of $ 10K to Fianna Fail had nothing to do with it.

Phil Hogan the Fine Gael environment spokesman said today "The timing of the issue of the passport is significant given what we now know about financial transactions involving Mr Ahern and his associates during 1994."

Mr Hogan also stated that Des Richardson, was given $10,000 by Mr Turner in 1994 and on the 8th August, 1994, the day before the passport was issued, Mr Ahern lodged £20,000 into the bank from what he has described as savings of £50,000.

I'm not an expert but this always seemed a little dodgy to me (Where did you get the € 20K ? "eh well you see I had it in a safe with € 30K more, yeah that's it € 50K, yeah in the safe, no banks no just the owl safe, for me kids ya know, their education and stuff, promised Miriam I did yeah.") But the timing was I'm (NOT) sure coincidental.

Reference the Irish Times the following is a list of transactions that the Mahon Tribunal are investigating re bank accounts operated by Bertie Ahearn.

I HATE NOVELTY / MUSICAL RINGTONES

There are 9 people in my office at work and out of this nine at least 4 have stupid and or annoying ringtones on their mobile phone.

Today alone, 3 of their mobiles rang (1 on 3 seperate occasions) while they were out of the office (on a tea break most likely), the ringtones were unbelievably loud and annoying.

But even more annoying, is the term mobile implies they could / should take the fucking things with them when they leave the office, instead of forcing those of us who were / are actually working to listen to whatever piece of rubbish they had / have downloaded that / this morning instead of doing their jobs.

People who are over 18 and are not satisfied with the standard ringtones provided by the phones manufacturer need to take a LONG HARD LOOK at themselves, these ringtones are not cool or trendy or fun, they are extremely loud, stupid and annoying.

When your phone rings and people stare / glare at you, they are not thinking 'What a cool ringtone' they are thinking 'What an uneducated thick ignorant annoying CUNT.'

On Monday 14/01/08 Bertie Ahern announced €5m in Irish Aid funding for the Niall Mellon Township Trust (A truly worthwhile cause).

On wednesday 16/01/08 Bertie Ahern met political leaders in Tanzania and pledged €170m in direct aid for the country (Again a worthwhile cause).

HSE report on Monday 14/01/08: 16 hospitals accross the country are having their budgets cut, € 10 million in total is being cut from their budgets, with Tallaght hospital facing the largest cut of approx € 2 million. This is in line with the HSE's policy of rewarding and punishing hospitals for their efficiency.

We can afford to build houses in South Africa and fund projects in Tanzania but cannot afford healthcare for our own people. The logic baffles me, if Tallaght hospital was deemed to be inefficient this year, how will reducing their budget help ? CUNTS.

The strategy of cutting hospital budgets was obviously thought up by the same people behind the idea of situating the National Childrens Hospital at the Mater and the idea of centralising cancer treatment in MRSA riddled shitholes like Beaumont and St. James. Of course all this was approved by our own obesity crisis of a Health Minister Mary Harney.

I read somewhere that it costs the American voter approx $10 each to support the presidency through its full term of four years, thats $2.5 per year or less than 5c each per week. So you pretty much get what you pay for.

2 Pints cost more than $10 in my local so on a good night I would drink the guts of 4-5 presidencies.

No wonder it’s 20 years this year since someone other than a Bush or a fucking Clinton was running the most powerful nation on earth.

It's no wonder Pakistan is still a "Third World Country," I know it's now politically correct to call them "Developing Countries", but in Pakistans case all they seem to be developing is HATRED & VIOLENCE.

An article in TIME magazine asks "Why Pakistan Matters ?", and my answer to this would be:

They have Nuclear Weapons and we in the West cannot afford to let the Fundamentalists or Islamists gain power no matter what the cost.
Pakistan is the worlds largest breeding ground for Islamists, Islamic Fundamentalists, al-Qaeda-linked Islamic extremists & Suicide bombers.
The Border area with Afghanistan, which is lawless and under the control of the extremists, the Taliban, their supporters and sympathisers.

Benazir Bhutto & Pervez Musharraf, sharing power was the dream ticket for the West and probably for Musharraf aswell as in reality he had little hope of defeating Her in an open election and having the result accepted by his opponents.

Her supporters have now turned on Musharraf instead of the more likely suspects al-Qaeda in their quest for revenge following her murder, leading to the elections being put back to February. This I'm sure Musharraf hopes will allow time for the unrest to calm and will reduce the amount of sympathy votes Bhutto's party are likely to receive, it may work out like this but I'm not convinced.

I worry that the delays and the unrest may lead to another military coup as one or more of Musharraf's more militant and extremist Generals decides now is the right time to sieze power in the name of Islam.

The West and the Bush administration cannot allow this to happen, we cannot have an Islamist in control of an arsenal of Nuclear Weapons next door to neighbours they hate, who also have Nuclear Weapons (INDIA).

Stability is already in short supply in this region but at least Musharraf has some contact and communication with his neighbours and the West and this however little must be preserved and supported, by force if necessary.

Musharraf keeping power by winning a democratic and fairly run election is the ideal outcome for the West as this would reduce the chances of a successful coup being mounted by his opponents and would also remove support for al-Qaeda & the Islamists and their excuse to launch attacks against the new government and the West.

No matter what the eventual outcome, the region and we in the West are in for a bumpy and scary ride over the next few months ..

The lies are coming thick and fast and eventually he will trip himself up as all liars do, he cannot explain to the satisfaction of the tribunal where the money came from, why he had no bank account, why he required a dig out when he had € 50K in savings, where he got the € 50K in the first place, why he took out a loan one day and deposited roughly the same amount a couple of days later, how he got a loan from the AIB in the first place without a bank account, whether money he received was a loan or a political donation ... It's now out of control.

If this was the leader of any other party we were talking about, he would be gone by now, Fianna Fail however don't seem to care that they have a prized Cunt as a leader. "The Court of Criminal Appeal has ruled that a Central Criminal Court judge Justice Paul Carney erred in principle when he imposed a non-custodial sentence on a man found guilty of raping a mother of three in her own home in 2005. Adam Keane from Barnageeha in Daragh, Co Clare, had his sentence increased from three to ten years today following an appeal from the DPP. The appeal court said that the appeal of the leniency of the sentence by the DPP was well founded."

Adam Keane was initially handed down a three-year suspended sentence, but after flickin a cigarette at his victim on the way home from court his sentence of 3 years was activated.

Thankfully there is some good news & some common sense left in the world, I hope this prick (Adam Keane) rots, and I hope he is passed around the cells as a fucking bitch for the next 10 years of his dirtbag life CUNT..

I wish Mary Shannon well, she was a very brave woman to waive her right to anonymity & I hope yesterdays judgement brings her and her family some comfort & will help her as she tries to rebuild her life after this horrific ordeal.

I also hope Justice Paul Carney has learned something from this whole experience, and will take into account the effect crimes like this have on victims and their families the next time he presides over a case like this.
